Genevieve Nisly Photography

What an awesome week this has been,  I had the opportunity to meet the owners of Genevieve Nisly Photography,  http://www.genevievenisly.com. Genevieve and James (her husband) are a wonderful duo.  They both came out and did a presentation for our SONOPP's (http://www.sonopp.com/) group Monday evening.
These two are an amazing team and specialize in wedding photography.  They had a great presentation on how they run their business and answered a bunch of questions from the crowd.  Thank you for being so honest and open with us all!!

Fuzzy Socks!

I found a new outlet for Fuzzy Socks!!  ETSY!   They always have the coolest items. Check out the new cool socks I received this week!  Oh, what a treat they came wrapped up in green tissue paper and tied with a pretty pink bow.  I know, I know I do not need any more socks, but these were so cute I could not resist!  Nate just looked at me and laughed, and said "really!?!"  We all have our weaknesses, fuzzy socks just happen to be one of mine!!

"Happy Post Valentine's Day!!"

I woke up this morning and Nate looked at me and said "Happy Post Valentine's Day!"
Nate is always a little goofy.  He definaltely had me laughing as soon as I woke up this morning!
I am thankful every day, that God has put Nate in my life.
He is also a fabulous gift giver, the man knows me so well!  He bought me a box of Kashi Bars for Valentine's day, because he knows how much I love them and knew I would enjoy these more than a box of chocolates.
He also found a super cute pink plant for me to put on my desk.
He is always so thoughtful and creative.  Love you Bunches!!

How to shoot a Jewish Wedding

Last Monday at my SONOPP's (Society of Northern Ohio Professional Photographers) meeting I had the opportunity to meet Joey Pollack, from Pollack Studio's.
He created a presentation on how to shoot a Jewish Wedding.  What a fountain of information he gave to all the attendees!
Joey is a second generation photographer, and has been shoot weddings for over 40 years.  This man has seen it all and had some great stories to tell!
Joey it was an honor meeting you, thank you for taking the time to create a beautiful presentation for our SONOPP's group.

Wishing you the best of everything!

Abby & Jason

Abby and Jason are a fun loving, delightful couple to be around.  Their wedding day may have been filled with a crazy snow storm, but that did not stop Abby and Jason’s family from having a wonderful day.
Abby is absolutely stunning in her dress, she has the most beautiful smile and is not afraid to show it!!  Her eyes twinkle every time Jason would make her laugh.  Jason who looked very handsome in his tux, is a little more reserved but he did loosen up a little and showed his teeth for a few of the pictures (yea!).  He absolutely adores Abby and loves to make her laugh!  What a wonderful show of emotions, these two bring out the best in one another.  They had me laughing all day long.
The wedding was held at the beautiful St. John’s Lutheran Church in Port Clinton, OH.
Followed by a fun reception at Mesenburg’s in Huron, OH.  Mesenburg’s does a fabulous job with everything, I am always excited when a couple picks this venue!
It was a pleasure hanging out with Abby and Jason on their wedding day.  Thank you for picking me to take part in your special day!
Have a great time in Vegas!

The Florida & Ohio Kids

A few weeks back Nate and I traveled down to Florida to visit family.  For this trip we decided to take Ian with us, since it had been 5 years since he was there.  While we were planning our trip, my mom decided she wanted to come down and since she was coming she decided to bring Kerigan.  So, we all invaded Tami's house for a long weekend.
This was the first time all the cousins have been together in 5 years!  It only took about 10 minutes for them all to warm up to each other.  Once they were comfortable, they were crazy together!!  Getting them to stop playing for just a few minutes, so I could take pictures was a little bit insane.  But, I do believe they did a great job posing for me!!

Love you guys!!

Wishing you the best of everything!

Abigail and An American Girl Doll Adventure

Last August our Niece, Abigail, decided she wanted an American Girl Doll, so she started saving.
Around Christmas time she finally had just enough saved to purchase the doll, have her ears pierced and ship it to her house.
Well, when Nate and I heard about how hard she saved and how many extra chores she did for her doll we were really impressed.  So, as a special treat we took Abigail to The American Doll Store in Chicago this past weekend, to personally pick up her doll.

Wow, what an adventure, we stayed overnight in a hotel (this was the first for Abigail).  When we arrived at the store we had lunch at the American Girl Cafe, made a craft, had Abigail's picture taken with Dolly and walked the whole store a couple of times.  Approximately 5 hours later, Abigail was tired!!  So, we bundled her and Dolly, along with a few other purchases back into the car and brought her back to Ohio.
Before we took her home, we did a quick mini-session in the studio, to show off her and Dolly's matching outfits (The outfits were from Grandma Jennings).

(Side Note: Abigail's doll does not have a name just yet, therefore, I called her Dolly all weekend long, when Abigail decides on a name, I will add it to this post).
